Open to Interpretation

I found this headline that made me choke on my tea:

Anorexic Women Taste Different

So they taste different than....what? Chicken? Another person? Lima beans?

No, it's a review of the research done by Walt Kaye at UCSD about the different perceptions of taste and pleasure done in people with anorexia.

I'm assuming no one was eaten during the course of this study.

About Me

My photo
I'm a science writer, a jewelry design artist, a bookworm, a complete geek, and mom to a wonderful kitty. I am also recovering from a decade-plus battle with anorexia nervosa. I believe that complete recovery is possible, and that the first step along that path is full nutrition.

Drop me a line!
