Intervention: Cat Edition

Imagine this: you open the bathroom door. And there is your sweet cat, with her head in the toilet.

Does she need an intervention?

But wait! Is it a drinking problem...or an eating disorder????

Find out on next week's episode of Intervention. Only on CatTV.

HA! I love that show and I find this hilarious.

"Your drinking (or is is purging? oh my!) has affected my life negatively in the following ways..."

how cute! hehehe.

HAHAHA!

They showed us tapes of Intervention in rehab . . . but they cut out anything that might be triggering to anyone. So each episode was about 14 minutes long.

haha I love this! I post SO MANY crazy posts about my cats, I'm glad I'm not the only one. :)

FWIW, I've never seen Intervention. I know about the show (obviously), but I've only seem a clip here and there.

Char,

No, Aria is definitely more affecting me by her "addiction" to shedding. :)

Sarah,

We had to watch some videos about eating disorders in treatment. It was the same thing- lots of fast forwarding, not much video.

Brie,

You have your Cade-ster, I have my Aria. It's kind of the same, really.

Meow,

Really? You like cats? Never would have guessed... :)

It's neither a drinking problem nor an eating disorder: looks to me like a very smart cat. If you're thirsty, do you wait around for a human to cater to you or do you find the water yourself?

Hehe, my vote is that the cat is actually watching the water or better yet even playing in it! Or perhaps, maybe she even flushed and is watching the water swirl! Oh wait, then that could be OCD if done repetitively.

Cats are so notorious for finding ways to amuse themselves.

Anon,

No, Aria prefers toilet water. She'll go drink out of the "punch bowl" even immediately after I've put fresh water in her bowl.

Tiptoe,

She fell in once- and looked insulted when I fell over laughing.

And it takes precisely diddly squat to amuse her. She stares at the wall a lot. To be so easily entertained...

My cat does this too, and I have tried to explain to her that that is DOG behavior, and totally undignified for a cat. Perhaps if I showed her a photo of just what she looks like, it would wake her up.
