that's funny ... someone else told me that my xanax was really ok to take in the next couple of days ...so this was really funny!

Merry Christmas to you Carrie and your family! I have fudge for a coping skill but I must be careful with it. Gotta share it too.
Think New Zealand. Otherwise please don't think too much. It's over rated.

Dreaming,

Oh indeed. I intend to take my anti-anxiety pills a LOT while I'm flying to NZ. I don't get that anxious flying- it's just the having to sit in one spot with not much else to do for a disgustingly long time that gets to me.

Mary,

Mmmmm...fudge. And ice cream. I agree- thinking is SO overrated. :)

In our program, we always said Seroquel was a valid coping mechanism :P (anti-anxiety med) :)

Merry Christmas! (I actually got to enjoy the desserts this year -- AND the company of my family)

Char-

You too, out in the freezing wilds out west. :)

A-

Haha! That's what I'm taking on the plane. It's the only thing that puts me to sleep that doesn't leave me (too) drugged in the morning. I am an anti-morning person, so I'm always groggy.

I have actually taken my anti anx meds this weekend!

My psych would be impressed. Moreso my Therapist.

My first psychiatrist Rx'd them for me in Februrary ..after trying to talk me into them for 3 years.
He prescribed them for me for daily use, because of the severity of the situation I was in ...especially one at night because of the nightmares.

Well, I'm on my 3rd bottle, and only 4 pills into it ...yeah, I'm not overdoing it on the anti anx meds ... unless it's over doing non compliance.

But, I've taken them. Surprising lack of nightmares these last 2 nights ... and a surprising decrease in food issues today ...hmmmm surely those 2 facts are UNRELATED right?

I'm a science writer, a jewelry design artist, a bookworm, a complete geek, and mom to a wonderful kitty. I am also recovering from a decade-plus battle with anorexia nervosa. I believe that complete recovery is possible, and that the first step along that path is full nutrition.
