Grateful for recovery

Though I've been pissing and moaning about my life a lot lately, I'm realizing that things could be worse.

And that, at the end of the day, I'm still here. I still have a new chance tomorrow. And I understand that life isn't perfect, nor was it meant to be perfect, and I can deal with that. I have the total freedom not to like it, but I can deal with it.

I have my recovery. Today, I will nourish my body and allow it to rest and heal and relish in the simple joys of being alive. I will not give Ed the time of day. I will hold on and let go and just let myself be.

And if nothing else happens, that is enough.

YES!

Gratitude is way better than pissing and moaning.
Life is definitely challenging at times so the temptation to travel down Life Sucks Lane is so tempting. All it does is go in circles and you never get anywhere on it.
Today, enjoy recovery.

About Me

My photo
I'm a science writer, a jewelry design artist, a bookworm, a complete geek, and mom to a wonderful kitty. I am also recovering from a decade-plus battle with anorexia nervosa. I believe that complete recovery is possible, and that the first step along that path is full nutrition.
